I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it.

Negative Emotions Inspirational Thoughts To Move You On
Anger
Frustration
  • Anger is a condition in which the tongue works faster than the mind.
  • For every minute you are angry with someone, you lose 60 seconds of happiness that you can never get back.
  • The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the  tempting moment.
  • Share and never be unfair, Understand and try not to demand.  Get hurt but never keep the pain.
  • Do not let your pride destroy in one moment a relationship that took a lifetime to build.
  • It is the nature of a thorn to prick and lie just under the surface of the skin and although the pain it causes can be irritating and often overwhelming it is worth bearing in mind that all this anguish stems from a very tiny thing indeed. A thorn can easily be removed by working at it a little and above all by putting it into perspective, it is after all only a minor irritation. Don't blow your problems out of proportion, as you will only bring yourself unnecessary stress.  Patience will bring you much needed peace.
Bitterness
  • When you harbour bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
  • When you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.
  • Being kind is more important than being right.
  • When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
Disappointment
  • Disappointments are like road humps, they slow you down a bit but you enjoy the smooth road afterwards.  Don't stay on the humps too long.  Move on!
  • Find time to realize that there is one person who means so much to you, for you might wake up one morning losing that person who you thought meant nothing to you.
  • If you fill your heart with regrets of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow, you have no today to be thankful for.
  • Love is not about "it's your fault", but "I'm sorry"; not "where are you', but "I'm right here"; not  "how could you", but "I understand"; not  "I wish you were, but "I'm thankful you are."
  • It breaks your heart to see the one you love is happy with someone else... but it's more painful to know that the one you love is unhappy with you.
  • LOVE is loving/accepting a person with all his/her strength and weaknesses.
  • The difference between what we expect and reality can set us up for frustration, anger, guilt and disappointment among other emotions.
  • J. Allen Petersen in The Myth of the Greener Grass says, "People who have affairs have the child's longings to be touched, caressed, held, hugged, and kissed whether they admit it or not . . . They want a loving friend, a pal who isn't judgmental.  They want someone to convince them they're still loved, lovable, and very special."  Admit those needs to yourself, seek legitimate ways to meet your needs--and help meet those needs in your own mate.
Anxiety
Depression
Guilt
  • Mental distress can lead to migraine headaches, arthritis, heart trouble, cystitis, colitis, backaches, ulcers, depression, digestive disorders and yes, even death. Add to that list the mental fatigue of nights without sleep and days without peace, then we get a glimpse of the havoc worry plays in destroying the quality and quantity of life.
  • Don't whine about your mistakes.  Learn from them.
  • You can't change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying over the future.
  • Release the regrets of yesterday, refuse the fears of tomorrow and receive instead, the peace of today.
  • Forbidden fruit creates many jams.  So, do not create your happiness on another’s sorrow.
  • The choice you make today will usually affect tomorrow.
Insecurity
  • Remember that the best relationship is one in which you love for each other exceeds your need for each other.
  • Love isn't about becoming somebody else's" perfect person."  It's about finding someone who helps you be come the best person you can be.
Sadness
  • Happy memories never wear out... relive them as often as you want.
  • Heartbreaks last as long as you want and cut as deep as you allow them to go. The challenge is not how to survive heartbreaks but to learn from them.

Check your "Bank Account" if you plan to put off taking that action that will make your life better.

YOUR BANK ACCOUNT

Imaging that there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400.
It carries over no balance from day to day.
Every "evening" deletes whatever part of the balance you have failed to use during the day.
What would you do?
Draw out every cent, of course!!!

Each of us has such a "bank".  Its name is TIME.
Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.
Every night, it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose.
It carries no balance and It allows no overdraft.

Each day it opens a new account for you.
Each night it burns the remains of the day.
If you fail to use the day's deposit, the loss is yours.
There is no going back.  There is no drawing against the "tomorrow".
You must live in the present on today's deposit.

Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!
The clock is running.
Make the most of it today.
