No Big Deal!

If going to the wet market bright and early Sunday morning is not your cup of tea, what can you do about it?

Your Solution

What A Deal

Try getting to know the vendors.

Always try to use the same vendors for your food stuff.  Make yourself so friendly that you know their names.

Your Benefits

  • Once your vendors are familiar with you as a customer, they will be honest when charging you for the stuff you buy.
  • They are more obliging when you try to bargain with them.
  • They will allow you to take some greens condiments without charging you.
  • Based on their experience,  some of them will even advice you against taking product they have that are not good.
  • Some will even provide you cooking tips on stuff that you have not tried before.

Find Out If They Deliver

Once you are comfortable with your vendors, find out if they can deliver their stuff to your home if you place an order on the phone.  If they do, find out if they charge for delivery before getting their names and contact numbers.

Things to Look Out

Once they start delivering your orders check:

  • If they supply product that are fresh or are in good condition.

  • Compare prices to see if they are charging you more than they would when you buy from them personally.

Change your supplier if they:

  • Do not perform well with their delivery service.

  • They do not deliver on dates as promised or they keep sending you the wrong stuff.

  • They are not honest with their pricing.

Decide how many chances you want to give them before giving up on them.  Always standby more than one supplier for the same product so that making changes is not a problem.

Introduce Good Suppliers

Tell your friends, neighbours or relatives if you know of good supplier who delivers.

Your Benefits

  • Your vendors will be very happy with the extra business you are giving them through your recommendation.
  • They will be more honest in charging you and the people you have recommend once you become regulars.
  • Some will allow you credit for the stuff you take.
  • Overtime, you may notice that your vendors are giving you bigger cuts to meat or extra pieces of poultry or vegetables, even though they maybe their leftovers because they appreciate what you have done.
